Job DescriptionJob Title: Painter Wanted - Apply Today Job Description This role leads and performs painting work on industrial and commercial projects for both new construction and existing buildings within approximately a 40-mile radius of Milwaukee. The position focuses primarily on interior wall painting, with some exterior work, using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to apply a variety of coatings in large industrial and commercial facilities. Responsibilities • Lead and participate in painting projects for industrial and commercial clients on both new construction and existing buildings., • Perform interior wall painting as the primary focus, with additional exterior painting as required., • Use brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply various paint coatings to industrial and commercial facilities., • Operate and maintain HPLV airless sprayers on large industrial projects, ensuring proper setup, use, and cleaning., • Perform precise cutting-in work without the use of tape to achieve clean, professional lines., • Carry out surface preparation activities, including cleaning, sanding, masking (where appropriate), patching, and priming surfaces prior to painting., • Handle job site cleanup, ensuring work areas remain organized, safe, and free of debris throughout and after the project., • Work collaboratively with a team of painters, coordinating tasks and supporting efficient workflow based on project size and scope., • Help ensure projects meet quality standards, adhere to specifications, and are completed within established deadlines., • Follow safety procedures and guidelines on all job sites, including proper use of equipment and materials., • Adapt to varying job schedules and project requirements, including occasional extended hours and some Saturdays as needed. Essential Skills • At least 3 years of overall painting experience., • A minimum of 1 year of commercial painting experience., • Proficiency with interior and exterior painting in industrial and commercial environments., • Ability to perform and, if needed, learn airless spraying techniques using HPLV airless sprayers., • Skill in brush and roller application for a variety of coatings., • Ability to cut in clean lines without using tape., • Experience with job site preparation, including surface prep and masking where appropriate., • Experience with job site cleanup and maintaining a tidy work environment., • Capability to work effectively as part of a team on active construction or renovation sites., • Reliability to work early shifts and accommodate overtime and some Saturday work when required. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience painting multi-family buildings., • Experience painting office buildings., • Previous foreman or lead painter experience overseeing crews or coordinating painting projects., • Familiar in construction environments where painting is integrated with other trades., • Comfort working on a variety of project types, including both new construction and existing building renovations. Painters use brushes, rollers, and HPLV airless sprayers, especially on large industrial jobs, and are expected to handle their equipment safely and efficiently. The dress code is practical and work-focused, typically jeans and a T-shirt or traditional painter whites, suitable for active construction and renovation environments where meeting project deadlines is a key expectation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Allis, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $26.00/hr.
