Must complete refresher training if outside the five years. Have completed Blackboard 101 Instructor Training within 3 years of work and dependent on the course being instructed. Must possess the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and Additional Skills Identifier (ASI) specific technical training for which being hired and have been certified. Must possess a minimum of three years’ experience in the technical and tactical training experience in the MOS for which they are performing the instruction. Possess a minimum of three years specific experience in teaching, developing or reviewing course materials, training aids, and manuals. Possess knowledge of applicable regulations and doctrine regarding the MOS. Capable of passing all hands-on and written student tests in accordance with the Ordnance School Instructional Management SOP. Be proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office computer programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel). Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Must be detail oriented and have excellent organization, planning, coordination, and time management skills. Specific Qualification Requirements based on position being hired: Possess one of the following requirements: 1) possess Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic School Trained Certificate (MOS’s 63B/91B/915); 2) have one (1) year of previous work experience in the Wheel Maintenance Training Department as a 91B10 Instructor; 3) possess a DD Form 214 that states trained as 63B/91B/915 Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic; or 4) possess an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or an Accredited College/Technical School Certification in maintenance of wheeled vehicles and associated trailers to include use of applicable references, inspecting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, replacement, adjusting and testing of wheeled vehicles subsystems and components such as power plant/packs, compression ignition engines, engine fuel systems, air induction, vehicle chassis and power train, exhaust systems and cooling systems. Possess a current Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 609 - Clean Air Act 1990 (Auto A/C) Certification. We are seeking a Pavement Maintenance Technician (PMT) for our North New Jersey crew. As the Pavement Maintenance Technician (PMT), you will perform a wide variety of projects for various clients across our region. This is a seasonal position, that begins mid-April and continues through the end of November with the opportunity of some winter work. Working hours are 40-50 hours per week with night, weekends and overtime work required. WHAT YOU’LL DO ● Use equipment to perform line painting, asphalt crack filling and sealcoating, power washing, epoxy flooring and more ● Plan and facilitate the production of a high-quality project ● Communicate job status daily with the Operations Manager ● Maintain a safe, hazard-free job site ● Additional tasks as required WHAT YOU BRING • A New Jersey driver’s license with a clean driving record (Driver’s Abstract is required) and a reliable mode of transportation, • Understand & solve Algebra level mathematics., • You are Self-Motivated, willing to learn and grow with us., • Mechanically inclined (small gas engines & tool maintenance knowledge), • Creative problem solver, • You have a sense of urgency to work efficiently, • Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 75lbs), • Ability to work Overnight/rotating shifts/on-call as needed, • Willing to work overtime if needed, • Able to pass a background check for government contracted jobs, • Ability to work well independently unsupervised Duties • Wear proper attire and employer-issued PPE (safety glasses, vests, gloves), • Safely operate equipment including but not limited to: Truck & Trailer, Line Stripers, Sealcoating Machine, Pressure Washer, Crack Sealing Machine, Concrete Saw & Asphalt Roller., • Fill out company reports as needed, • Be a team player, • Keep company trucks clean after use, • Use mathematic skills for new layouts, • Ability to understand & interpret blue prints/project plans, • Communicate with operations manager and other crew members WHAT WE OFFER • Competitive wages and a flexible working schedule (time and a half for hours worked over 40 hours a week), • A challenging, fun atmosphere with a great team, • Training and advancement within the company, and opportunities to grow with us, • Clear advancement path, with growth milestones that can add up to $4 per hour to your base pay, and growth opportunities into other roles.
