We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Shunter to join the team on nights. \n Hours: Monday to Friday, 18:00pm start \n Location: Wolverhampton, WV4 \n Pay: £19.17 per hour PAYE \n Job Type: Temp to perm \n The role: \n\n • Perform shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations – please note that drivers will be required to conduct duties between two other locations close by (WV14 & WV4)\n, • Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and busy spaces.\n, • Conduct pre and post operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.\n, • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.\n, • Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow.\n, • Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.\n, • Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and vehicle movements.\n, • Assist with other yard duties as needed.\n\n Requirements: \n\n • Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).\n, • 2 years’ experience required\n, • Tug experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided\n, • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.\n, • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).\n, • Full understanding of WTD legislation.\n, • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.\n, • Excellent communication skills.\n, • A safety-first mindset.\n\n For more information, please apply directly with a copy of your CV today and a member of our team will be in touch!
