We are expanding again and looking for a conscientious, detail-orientated Machine Cylindrical & Machine Surface Grinder to join our experienced and friendly team. Appropriate training will be provided as necessary.Job Description:The successful applicant will be responsible for machine finish grinding high precision tooling and components to meet micron tolerances from technical drawings. Reporting to the workshop manager, you will demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of our team. The role will also include piece part inspection to a high level of consistency and accuracy.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operation of precision machines for internal and external grinding.Working from technical drawings to specified tolerances.Inspection of ground parts throughout the manufacturing process.Demonstrate a robust understanding of safety procedures.Maintain a clean working environment.Requirements:Open minded and thorough approach to detailed work.Any relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship would be welcome.Any machine grinding or manual machining experience would be an advantage.Important:We are more than willing to provide extensive training and guidance during the induction period.We are looking for the right mind-set, so if you havent used a manual Cylindrical or Surface Grinding machine previously, relevant knowledge is equally valuable.AI will not be used for the selection process.Job Type: Full-time, permanentHours: Mon - Fri 7:30am - 4:00pm (early finish on Friday possible)Post: Sibert Instruments Ltd., Unit 5 Grove Park, Mill Lane, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 2QGTPBN1_UKTJ

Workshop Technician / Machinist / CNC Programmer / CNC Setter / Turner Salary range £37,500 pa - £51,500 pa (dependent upon experience) + Benefits + Lots of Overtime available Exciting opportunity for an experienced Turner to join a major supplier of high value capital equipment and engineering services to Manufacturing, Industrial, Scientific, Defence and Space Exploration industries. Operating from a modern site and leading-edge workshop, the company operate the latest Mazak machines. The Role: Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Week 1: 13:30 to 22:15 Monday to Thursday, 13:30 to 18:00 on Friday. Week 2: 06:00 to 14:00 Monday to Friday. Producing parts for bespoke specialist machinery for global customers, the CNC Workshop Technician / Machinist will program and operate a variety of lathes including machines with live tooling. This includes Milling, Turning, Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM). Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the appointed individual will be required to program, set and operate Mazak Turning Machines used to produce precision components for Machinery within Scientific, Space Exploration, Manufacturing, and other industries.
