Fabricator / Welder \n Location: County Durham Salary: Competitive + Overtime Available Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent \n The Opportunity \n We are currently seeking an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a growing and well-established engineering business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual who takes pride in producing high-quality fabricated products and working from detailed engineering drawings. \n The role involves the fabrication and assembly of bespoke metal components, working within a fast-paced workshop environment where quality, safety and attention to detail are paramount. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.\n, • Fabricate and assemble bespoke metal components and structures.\n, • Measure, mark out and prepare materials accurately.\n, • Cut, shape and modify materials using workshop equipment and hand tools.\n, • Carry out MIG welding to a high standard, including tacking and full welds.\n, • Use power tools such as drills, grinders, polishers and riveters safely and effectively.\n, • Complete finishing activities including grinding, polishing and deburring.\n, • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer requirements.\n, • Adhere to all health & safety procedures and workshop standards.\n, • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.\n\n Skills & Experience Required \n\n • Proven experience as a Fabricator / Welder.\n, • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.\n, • Strong MIG welding experience across a variety of fabrication projects.\n, • Experience working with sheet metal and fabricated components.\n, • Excellent measuring and marking-out skills.\n, • Strong understanding of fabrication techniques and metalworking processes.\n, • Good mathematical ability and attention to detail.\n, • Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision.\n, • Reliable, hardworking and quality focused.\n\n Desirable \n\n • TIG welding experience.\n, • Welding qualifications or coded welding experience.\n, • Experience within bespoke fabrication or manufacturing environments.\n\n What's on Offer? \n\n • Competitive salary.\n, • Overtime opportunities.\n, • Permanent, full-time position.\n, • Stable and growing business.\n, • Supportive team environment.\n, • Opportunity to work on varied and interesting fabrication projects.\n\n If you're a skilled Fabricator/Welder looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
