A respected primary school in Brentwood is looking for an enthusiastic ASD Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated support team from September 2026. You'll play a key role in helping pupils with autism access learning, develop confidence and enjoy a positive school experience in a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity running until July 2027. The Role As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will: • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Help adapt classroom activities to suit individual learning needs. Encourage positive communication, independence and social interaction. Support pupils in managing routines, transitions and emotional regulation. Work closely with teachers and the SEND team to implement personalised strategies. * Celebrate achievements and help children build confidence every day. The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who: • Has an interest in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Is open to both graduates and experienced Teaching Assistants. Is patient, calm and able to build positive relationships with pupils. Can work confidently as part of a collaborative school team. Has strong communication skills and a proactive approach. * Wants to make a meaningful difference in children's educational journeys. What's on Offer • £92-£120 per day, depending on experience. Full-time role starting in September 2026. Long-term contract through to July 2027. Excellent training and ongoing support from an experienced SEND team.
