Owen Daniels are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their quality team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong manufacturing background and experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products meet customer specifications and internal quality standards, working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain the highest levels of quality.Key Responsibilities\n\n • Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of manufactured components.\n, • Inspect parts using a range of manual measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, height gauges and gauges.\n, • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and quality documentation.\n, • Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles during inspection activities.\n, • Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.\n, • Identify and report non-conformances, supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.\n, • Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.\n, • Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and relevant industry standards.\n, • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing process.\nRequirements\n\n, • Previous experience working as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing or engineering environment.\n, • Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T.\n, • Ability to confidently read and interpret complex engineering drawings.\n, • Experience using a variety of manual inspection and measuring equipment.\n, • Good attention to detail with a methodical approach to inspection.\n, • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.\n, • Competent with inspection records and quality documentation.\nDesirable Skills\n\n, • Experience inspecting welded fabrications or welded assemblies would be advantageous but is not essential.\n, • Knowledge of welding processes and weld inspection would be beneficial.\n, • Experience with CMM equipment or programming would be an advantage.\n, • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.\nWhat's on Offer\n\n, • Competitive salary dependent on experience.\n, • Permanent position with a stable and growing manufacturer.\n, • Opportunities for training and career development.\n, • Supportive working environment.\n, • Company pension.\n, • Holiday entitlement.\n, • Overtime opportunities where available.\nIf you are an experienced Quality Inspector with strong GD&T knowledge looking for your next opportunity within a reputable manufacturing business, we'd love to hear from you.
