Accounts Assistant\n Join a growing organisation as an Accounts Assistant, where you'll play an important role in delivering accurate and timely financial transactions across a portfolio of clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transactional finance professional looking to develop their skills within a varied role, working across multiple aspects of finance in a collaborative team environment. About the Role\n As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for completing a range of financial transactions for a defined portfolio of clients, ensuring all work is processed accurately and within agreed timescales. You'll support key finance functions including purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll preparation, VAT and month-end activities, while maintaining excellent communication with clients and colleagues. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently across a portfolio of clients.\n, • Prepare VAT returns.\n, • Assist with payroll preparation.\n, • Process purchase ledger transactions.\n, • Prepare and issue unpaid bills reports.\n, • Prepare weekly payment runs.\n, • Support sales ledger and credit control activities.\n, • Complete bank and weekly bank reconciliations.\n, • Perform month-end reconciliations and adjustments.\n, • Manage the client inbox, responding to, actioning and filing emails in a timely manner.\n, • Maintain and update client "How To" documents.\n, • Participate in the team phone rota.\nKey Requirements\n\n, • Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant OR transactional finance role, OR recent Graduate.\n, • Good literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to GCSE Grade 5 or above in English and Maths).\n, • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel.\n, • AAT, CIMA or ACCA trainee, or qualified by experience.\n, • Experience using accounting software, preferably QuickBooks, Xero or Sage.\n, • Experience using Microsoft Excel within a finance environment.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.\n, • Ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.\n, • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.\n, • Reliable, proactive and supportive team player with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.\nWhat's on Offer\n\n, • Permanent opportunity.\n, • Opportunity to manage a portfolio of clients.\n, • Broad exposure across transactional finance, including VAT, payroll, purchase ledger, sales ledger and month-end processes.\n, • Collaborative and supportive team environment.\n
