IMH Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Gardeners for our client based in Halifax (HX3). The Role: You will help maintain and improve Calderdale's parks, green spaces and public areas. This is a physically demanding outdoor role, working in all weather conditions. Duties Include: Grass cutting, strimming and hedge trimming General gardening and horticultural maintenance Tree and shrub maintenance Hard and soft landscaping Operating and maintaining gardening machinery Keeping work areas clean and tidy Completing basic paperwork, including timesheets and vehicle checks Following health and safety procedures at all times Working independently and as part of a team Requirements: Referencing covering the last 3 years of employment Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) is preferred NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent) Valid Lantra (or equivalent) certificates for: Pedestrian Mower Hedge Trimmer Strimmer/Brushcutter All Lantra certificates must have been completed within the last 3 years Previous experience in gardening, horticulture or grounds maintenance Comfortable working outdoors in all weather Good understanding of health and safety Hours & Pay: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm £15.00 per hour * Weekly pay through the agency!
