Futures are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and market-leading manufacturing business that is seeking an experienced Logistics Team Leader to join its operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated logistics professional to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. \n As Logistics Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day logistics operation, ensuring products are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining exceptional service levels to both internal and external customers. You will lead, coach, and develop a team, driving operational excellence and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and company procedures. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Lead, motivate, and develop the logistics team to achieve operational and business objectives.\n, • Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily warehouse and logistics activities, ensuring productivity and service targets are consistently met.\n, • Monitor inbound and outbound goods, ensuring accurate stock movements and timely deliveries.\n, • Ensure inventory accuracy through effective stock control processes, cycle counting, and investigation of discrepancies.\n, • Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.\n, • Manage team performance through regular coaching, performance reviews, and development planning.\n, • Allocate resources effectively to meet changing production and customer demands.\n, • Collaborate with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless operational flow.\n, • Analyse operational KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.\n, • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning within the logistics function.\n, • Ensure all warehouse equipment and facilities are maintained and operated safely.\n, • Drive high standards of housekeeping and adherence to 5S or similar lean manufacturing principles.\n, • Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.\n\n About You \n We're looking for an experienced logistics professional who enjoys leading teams and delivering operational excellence within a manufacturing environment. \n You will have: \n\n • Previous experience in a Logistics Team Leader, Warehouse Team Leader, or Supervisory role.\n, • Experience working within a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment.\n, • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop people.\n, • Excellent organisational and planning abilities.\n, • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.\n, • Strong understanding of stock control and inventory management.\n, • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.\n, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n, • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.\n, • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement methodologies (desirable).\n\n
