Residential Care Worker (Children’s Home) \n Pay: £26,400 to £27,360Location: Doncaster Reporting to: Senior Residential Worker / Deputy Manager / Registered Manager \n About the Role \n We are looking for a committed Residential Care Worker to support children and young people in a residential setting. You will provide high-quality, therapeutic care, helping to meet their emotional, social, and developmental needs while ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times. \n This role involves shift work, including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and bank holidays. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Provide safe, nurturing, and relationship-based care to children and young people\n, • Support care plans, risk assessments, and daily routines\n, • Build positive, trusting relationships and act as a role model\n, • Promote education, health, and personal development outcomes\n, • Act as a key worker, supporting individual needs and goals\n, • Maintain accurate records, reports, and case files in line with regulations\n, • Work in partnership with social workers, schools, health professionals, and families\n, • Support young people to access activities, advocacy, and services\n, • Contribute to a safe and well-maintained home environment\n\n Safeguarding & Compliance \n\n • Follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures\n, • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant legislation\n, • Support safe administration of medication\n, • Report concerns and incidents appropriately\n\n General Duties \n\n • Work flexibly on a rota basis, including sleep-ins\n, • Drive company vehicles (where required)\n, • Participate in training, team meetings, and handovers\n, • Support the overall smooth running of the home\n\n What We’re Looking For \n\n • Passion for working with children and young people\n, • Strong communication and teamwork skills\n, • Ability to work in a challenging but rewarding environment\n, • Commitment to safeguarding and high-quality care\n, • Willingness to work shifts and complete ongoing training\n\n Equality & Diversity \n We are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
