We are open to evaluating candidates for both Chef de Partie and Sous Chef roles, depending on your level of experience and autonomy. Key Responsibilities: • Manage your assigned station (or support the Head Chef in overall kitchen management for the Sous Chef role)., • Ensure high quality standards and freshness in every dish., • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and efficient service., • Strictly maintain health, safety, and food hygiene standards (HACCP). Responsibilities • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes, • Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed, • Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency in dish presentation, • Oversee food safety practices, maintaining hygiene standards throughout the kitchen, • Assist in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas for seasonal offerings, • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery, • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste, • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations, • Lead by example in maintaining professionalism, teamwork, and a positive work atmosphere Skills • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a busy hospitality setting, • Strong supervisory and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff, • Extensive culinary knowledge across various cuisines and techniques, • Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations, • Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee kitchen activities efficiently, • Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments demonstrating adaptability under pressure, • Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and front-of-house staff, • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service through outstanding food quality This role offers an engaging environment for culinary professionals committed to excellence.     General Manager Thrive + Wild is Winchester's home for soft play, café culture, and wellness all under one roof. Alongside our soft play frames and sensory areas, guests find our wonderful café ,treatment rooms, wellness studios, and The Den, our dog-friendly lounge. We're looking for a hands-on General Manager to lead the site as we grow. The Opportunity As General Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the whole site; café, soft play, reception, treatment rooms, studios, and The Den. You'll hold real accountability for site performance, with genuine interest to invest in the product, the team, and the customer experience. This is a hands-on leadership role: we need someone who leads from the front, is visible on the floor, and sets the standard the rest of the team follows. You'll report directly to our CEO and run the site with real independence, backed by a framework that lets you make decisions and back them with evidence. What You'll Do ● Own the day-to-day running of the site, acting as the senior person on site during opening hours ● Lead and develop the Assistant Manager and Supervisor team, with overall responsibility for the whole team ● Own site performance against an agreed P&L and manage a discretionary operational budget ● Set the standard for customer service, food safety, and cleanliness across the venue ● Lead the soft play special events calendar — themed sessions, seasonal promotions, and activity that drives footfall ● Build the case for further investment where it would improve performance, working closely with our CEO What We're Looking For ● Proven experience managing a customer-facing hospitality, leisure, or family-entertainment site ● Experience leading a team through supervisors or assistant managers ● Confidence with P&L management, budgets, and using data to make decisions ● Working knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and safeguarding in a family venue ● A visible, hands-on leadership style — as comfortable on the floor as in the office ● Strong customer service instincts, with a calm head for resolving issues
