We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef. About the job: We are hiring for a founder-led bakery business with eight shops across London, Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire and growing plus a craft bakery in Windsor that supplies them all. We bake cakes for the Royal Family, have won five Great Taste Awards in the last two years, and produce around 50 bakery variations daily by hand, by our own team, every day. The role We're expanding the team at a new Studio and looking for a Pastry Chef to join us on our cake section. This is a new role created by growth not a replacement so there's real scope to shape how the section runs. You'd be working across our full cake range: loaf cakes, traybakes, tarts, cheesecakes, entremets and seasonal specials, all baked and finished in time to go straight from our team to our counters each day. We bake off early, so you'll need to be able to get to our Windsor-based studio in the early morning. Working hours are 4:00am 1:40pm, 5 days a week. What you'll be doing Producing our daily cake range from scratch mixing, baking, finishing and decorating Ensuring cakes are fresh, beautiful and ready for daily delivery to our shops Working to recipes with precision, consistency and care Maintaining the standards we're known for, day in and day out Contributing ideas as our range evolves What we're looking for Solid experience baking cakes or patisserie in a bakery, patisserie or restaurant kitchen Genuine care for the craft someone who notices the detail and takes pride in the finish Comfort with early starts Reliability, a calm head under pressure and a good team attitude What we offer Early finish (1:40pm), no evenings Daily team lunches, cooked fresh each day by a member of the team Opportunities for external training Staff discount across all shops 28 days holiday including bank holidays Location: Windsor, Alma Road, SL4 1QZ Hours: 4:00am 1:40pm, 5 days a week Salary: 30 - 34k To apply: Send your CV and a short note about yourself.
