Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within finance while gaining hands-on experience across purchase ledger, credit control, bank reconciliations and month-end accounting activities. \n This position offers the chance to become a key member of a supportive finance team, taking ownership of core transactional finance processes and contributing to the smooth running of the department. \n Benefits \n\n • Salary of £30,000\n, • On-site parking\n, • Company pension scheme\n, • Training and development opportunities\n, • Exposure to a broad range of finance functions\n, • Supportive team environment\n, • Opportunity to study towards professional finance qualifications\n\n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Manage the purchase ledger function across multiple entities.\n, • Process, code and match supplier invoices accurately.\n, • Prepare payment runs for approval in line with payment deadlines.\n, • Set up and maintain supplier records and banking information.\n, • Resolve supplier invoice and delivery queries.\n, • Post daily bank receipts and payments.\n, • Reconcile corporate credit cards and employee expenses.\n, • Monitor aged debt reports and assist with credit control activities.\n, • Chase overdue payments professionally by phone and email.\n, • Allocate customer receipts and resolve account queries.\n, • Complete supplier statement reconciliations and prepare debtor statements.\n, • Support month-end processes, accruals and audit preparation.\n, • Maintain accurate digital and physical finance records.\n\n About You \n\n • Previous experience within an office, administration or finance environment.\n, • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.\n, • Excellent organisational and time management skills.\n, • Confident communicator with a professional approach to supplier and customer interactions.\n, • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.\n, • Experience using Sage Intacct or a similar finance system would be advantageous.\n, • Studying towards an AAT qualification or similar would be highly desirable.\n, • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above).\n\n Apply Now \n This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to broaden their experience and develop their career within a busy and supportive finance team.
