Work Planner \n Location: Ropewalks, Newton Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire \n Salary: £29,918.94 per annum \n FTC 9-Months \n \n At Peaks & Plains Housing Trust, we believe everyone deserves a safe, secure place to call home. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring our repairs service runs efficiently by planning and coordinating appointments, maximising the use of our operatives and contractors, and helping us deliver an outstanding service to our customers. \n \n What you'll be doing \n As a Work Planner, you'll be responsible for scheduling and monitoring repairs appointments and emergency works, ensuring the most effective use of available resources while helping us meet our service standards and performance targets. \n You'll: \n\n • Plan and schedule repairs appointments using our scheduling and housing management systems.\n, • Monitor diaries and allocate work to maximise operative productivity and minimise travel time.\n, • Respond to telephone calls, emails and system updates, resolving queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.\n, • Work closely with managers and operatives to reallocate resources when priorities change or emergencies arise.\n, • Maintain accurate scheduling data, resource profiles and absence records.\n, • Produce reports and management information to support service performance.\n, • Ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\n, • Help identify opportunities to improve planning processes and deliver better outcomes for our customers.\n, • Always work safely and in line with legislation, regulatory requirements and Trust policies.\n\n \n What we're looking for \n We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent organisational skills and is passionate about delivering great customer service. \n You'll have: \n\n • Experience working in a busy operational or scheduling environment.\n, • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.\n, • Excellent IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office and scheduling or housing management systems.\n, • Experience handling customer enquiries and complaints by telephone, in writing and face to face.\n, • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.\n, • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.\n, • A proactive, flexible approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.\n\n It would also be beneficial if you have: \n\n • Experience within social housing.\n, • Knowledge of repairs and maintenance services.\n, • Experience of workforce scheduling systems.\n\n \n Why join us? \n We know our people are our greatest asset, so we offer a fantastic range of benefits, including: \n\n • Minimum 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\n, • An extra day off for your birthday.\n, • Agile and flexible working arrangements.\n, • Health Cash Plan.\n, • Ongoing learning and development opportunities.\n, • Wellbeing support, including health MOTs and wellbeing events.\n, • Modern office facilities and a supportive, friendly working environment.\n, • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to our customers and communities every day.\n\n \n Our Values \n Everything we do is guided by our values.
