You will be expected to: Reporting to the Night Manager and the other Front of House Management , as Assistant Night Manager you are responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the reception desk between the hours of 22:45 and 07:15. BENEFITS: Competitive Salary 28 days annual leave Uniform Pension scheme Free meals on duty Free parking Friends and family rates MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all guests in line the hotel vision and values Ensure all guest requests and enquiries are handled professionally, providing callers with comprehensive information regarding hotel services To transfer incoming calls to the relevant department or take a message in their absence To clean the Conference and Banqueting coffee machine and that of the bar every night To check the meeting rooms are set up correctly according to the function sheets Ensure all requests are recorded and actioned in accordance with company policy and in an efficient and courteous manner To check the restaurant To ensure the fire walks are carried out as per the hotel procedure To be aware at all times of current business targets and to focus at all times on achieving these targets To deputise for the Night Manager and as Duty Manager in their absence Ensure night audit is completed and correct Assist with training and onboarding new joiners Assist in ensuring the security of the hotel, guests and staff during the night SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS: A good level of fitness is required as fire walks within the hotel and grounds are part of this role and this is a standing job A friendly, welcoming and customer focussed approach and providing a consistently high standard of customer service High standard of presentation and etiquette Ability to remain calm under pressure and challenging situations Excellent interpersonal skills including telephone manner Good administrative skills Good team working skills Good computer skills Working knowledge of Opera PMS would be an advantage At least one years experience of a similar role It is essential that you are either a driver and live no further than a 30-mile radius from the hotel or live within walking distance Commit to continuous personal development Personal qualities: High standard of grooming and presentation Attention to detail Open for direction, correction and training Polite and welcoming character High standard of spoken and written English A "can do" attitude A passion for providing high standard of customer service TPBN1_UKCT
