As the number of our industrial projects is increasing, we are looking for a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join our R&D team. You will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of advanced separation systems for stable isotopes, using processes such as high-performance distillation and chromatography, and to turn an idea or lab setup into a real, operating prototype or pilot. This is a true hybrid R&D role, split evenly between the drawing board and the bench: 30% of your time modeling, simulating, and designing separation processes, 70% of your time building, commissioning, and troubleshooting pilot-scale rigs with your own hands. YOUR MISSIONS? • Design, assemble and optimize separation processes (distillation, chromatography, etc.) for the purification of stable isotopes., • Build, commission, and run pilot-scale separation systems as part of the R&D development cycle., • Troubleshoot and iterate on pilot equipment based on experimental results., • Define and execute tests to demonstrate robustness, stability, and maintainability of prototypes and pilot units., • Analyze and documents results and propose process improvements., • Collaborate with production teams to transfer technologies and ensure their industrialization. WHO ARE YOU? YOUR PROFILE • Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field., • Minimum 5 years proven experience in designing and implementing automated systems for chemical processes., • Proficiency in separation processes (distillation, chromatography, liquid-liquid extraction, etc.)., • Experience in process simulation (software such as Aspen Plus, ProSim, or equivalents)., • Proven hands-on experience building and commissioning pilot-scale equipment (piping, instrumentation, valves, sensors)., • Comfortable diagnosing and physically fixing issues on a pilot rig during trials., • Knowledge of good laboratory practices and safety standards. YOUR PERSONNALITY • You are a hands-on process engineer with an aptitude for learning new things., • Independence, attention to detail, and a spirit of innovation., • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team., • Strong communication and reporting skills., • Proficiency in technical English (written and spoken). Our Company: CortecNet is a French, family-owned company founded in 1995 whose main business is centered around technologies using Stable Isotopes (mostly Deuterium). These technologies cover a wide range of applications from Nuclear Medicine, Health, Petrochemistry, Electronic and Energy. Over the past 10 years, CortecNet has massively invested in R&D, and has developed technical innovations, which now allow the company to competitively manufacture at large scale (up to few tons per year) a portfolio of products to industries. With 20 employees at our site at Les Ulis, France (mostly scientists) and a small team in our offices in the US and in India, we are growing rapidly. Our Values: Our success and leadership in these industrial markets come mainly from our global presence. Our groundbreaking scientific innovations greatly reduce the advantage of low-cost competitors. This French-style technological expertise, combined with an inspiring work environment, helps our company grow and stay strong, no matter the challenges we face now or in the future. Our value comes from staying true to our core principles, which can be summed up in simple words: freedom, courage, agility, creativity, responsibility, and leadership.
