As part of the network of research centres within the Galician University System, it provides the research community with high-performance computing infrastructure and specialised resources that facilitate the implementation of projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science and engineering, high-performance computing, smart services and networks, and cybersecurity. Furthermore, CITIC promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between research groups, companies and institutions, fostering the transfer of knowledge and technology to the business sector. The Regional Government of Galicia, through the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training, has accredited CITIC as a Centre of Excellence and recognised it as a member of the CIGUS Network for the period 2024–2027. These capabilities and this recognition consolidate CITIC’s position as a leading centre for research and innovation in digital technologies, strengthening the competitiveness of the University of A Coruña and the Galician University System. This vacancy is for a senior research and quality manager to coordinate and lead CITIC’s Research and Quality Department. The strategic nature of the duties associated with the post requires a sound understanding of research activity and the functioning of R&D&I centres, as well as the ability to contribute to the definition, implementation and monitoring of the centre’s research, quality and innovation policies. In this context, and given CITIC’s focus on interdisciplinary research projects where digital technologies converge with experimental fields such as biology or physics, it is considered appropriate for the candidate to hold a university degree at MECES Level 3 in one of these scientific disciplines. This training provides an advanced understanding of the scientific method, the dynamics of research and the challenges associated with the generation and transfer of knowledge – skills that are necessary to support the centre’s management in strategic planning, liaising with research staff, public administrations and funding bodies, as well as in defining and consolidating CITIC’s institutional development priorities. The duties to be performed will be: • Management of the R&D&I Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 56001 standards., • Supporting the management team in the strategic management of the centre, through active participation in the drafting, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the Strategic Plan, ensuring compliance with strategic objectives and promoting continuous improvement initiatives., • Managing and updating the R&D&I project portfolio., • Coordination of the management of the centre’s performance indicators., • Support in the management of the centre’s institutional projects., • Support for management in human resources administration., • Justification of the centre’s agreements and grants., • Coordination of the centre’s training activities., • Support for the school management in drawing up, updating and monitoring internal regulations, as well as in the management and coordination of the school’s committees., • Participation, as a member or secretary, in various centre committees., • Participation in the preparation of reports on the centre’s activities, management and results., • Institutional liaison with public authorities, funding bodies and partner organisations in the fields of research, innovation and quality. Master’s degree or equivalent university qualification at MECES level 3. B2 CEFR in English Requirements. Master’s degree or equivalent university qualification at MECES level 3. English language proficiency at a minimum of B2 CEFR. The requirements must have been met by the deadline for submission of applications. On the closing date for applications and throughout the term of the contract, applicants must meet and continue to meet the requirements set out in Article 8 of the Regulations on the Recruitment of Contract Staff, Chapter 6, relating to projects, grants and agreements for research and knowledge transfer. In order for merits to be assessed, it is essential to provide supporting documentation. Merits that are merely claimed but not substantiated will not be assessed by the Selection Committee. General merits: All qualifications and certificates must be submitted in a legible PDF format. Professional experience: An up-to-date employment history report is mandatory. Research projects: Only certificates issued by the relevant official body (e.g. Vice-Rectorate for Research or persons with legal authority). Languages: Language proficiency must be demonstrated by means of an official certificate (e.g. CEFR, Cambridge, DELE, EOI) or an equivalent recognised by the Selection Committee. Exclusion Note: Certificates or letters issued in a personal capacity by lecturers or Principal Investigators (PI) of the projects are not valid. The post may remain unfilled if no candidate achieves a score of more than 60 points. A waiting list will be drawn up comprising applicants not shortlisted by the Selection Committee; this list may be used in the event of the selected candidate’s resignation or the termination of their employment contract. At the same time, this list may be used for future recruitments with the same purpose.
