Monday to Friday, 08:00–15:00 /p pSupport for the centre’s operational and strategic management: collaboration with CICA’s management on coordination and supervision tasks, particularly in relation to scientific strategy, planning and the management of RDI activities, within the framework of competitive calls for proposals for research centres, such as the SUG Research Centres programme, the María de Maeztu accreditations and other similar initiatives promoting scientific excellence. 1 November /12/2026 2 months /p pQuality management and research indicators: development, updating and maintenance of databases and indicators relating to the quality of research carried out at the centre, including those required for accreditations such as the SUG Research Centres accreditation. 1 November /12/2026 2 months /p pScientific and technical documentation: support in the preparation of reports, documents and scientific and technical indicators relating to RDI activities, projects, innovation and technology transfer at the centre. 1 November /12/2026 2 months /p pFunding and projects: identifying and monitoring public and private funding calls (national and international). Support in the preparation, review and management of project proposals, both for CICA’s research groups and for the centre’s own projects, collaborating with the UDC’s International Projects Office (OPI) in the submission of competitive proposals. 1 November /12/2026 2 months /p pInternationalisation: supporting CICA’s participation in European and international projects, including the search for strategic partners, participation in international RDI clusters and networks, and raising the centre’s profile on the international stage. 1 November /12/2026 2 months /p pRecruitment of research talent: support for the definition and development of strategies to recruit research talent, identification and monitoring of competitive calls for the recruitment of research staff, and support in the preparation, review and management of applications, in collaboration with the Recruitment of Research Staff (OCPI) at the UDC. 1 November /12/2026 2 months /p pCross-disciplinary training and mentoring: support for the planning, organisation and monitoring of cross-disciplinary training activities aimed at staff attached to the centre, and management of the centre’s mentoring programme. 1 November /12/2026 2 months /p pKnowledge transfer: coordination, supervision and monitoring of the transfer unit’s activities, supporting strategic planning, the setting of priorities and the evaluation of the actions carried out. 1 November /12/2026 2 months. /p pThe "CICA – Interdisciplinary Centre for Chemistry and Biology" at the UDC was accredited in 2024 as a Research Centre within the Galician University System (SUG), joining the Xunta de Galicia’s CIGUS Network as a centre of research excellence. CICA currently has 30 affiliated research groups and focuses on three strategic thematic areas: Biomedicine (BMed); Food, Pollution and Health (ACeS); and Nanoscience and Advanced Materials (NeMA). The centre’s accreditation and membership of the CIGUS Network in Galicia will require specific support and monitoring tasks, as well as a strategic vision for the future, in which CICA will seek to maintain its scientific excellence and distinctiveness within the Galician research landscape. One of the key priorities for CICA in this new phase will be to strengthen the centre’s RD management and support structure, making it more specialised, in line with the management models of other leading research centres in the region. Specifically, CICA needs to recruit a person responsible for the institutional management of RDI: projects, quality and scientific promotion, who will be part of the centre’s Management Office, with training and experience in CICA’s thematic RDI areas, experience in research centres accredited by the Xunta de Galicia, and experience in the operational and strategic management of RD. The appointed specialist will assist in the organisation, preparation and management of activities relating to these areas, as well as supporting technology transfer, and will also provide direct support to CICA’s management on various matters within their remit. /p pPhD in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Health Sciences, Marine Sciences or Agricultural Engineering. /p h3Additional Information /h3 pEligibility criteria /p pFunding for the contract may be provided, in whole or in part, by any other project or grant associated with the Research Line, even prior to the end of the initial months, provided that adequate and sufficient funding is available. Pursuant to the provisions of Article 5 of Instruction 2/2025, of 17 March 2025, issued by the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Transfer, regulating the registration of research and strategic lines and the recruitment of research staff employed under such lines, the validity of this permanent contract is subject to the continued need for the tasks and the existence of adequate and sufficient funding within the research line. The exhaustion of the funding allocated to the line, or the completion of the technical activities justifying the post without the possibility of redeployment, shall constitute objective grounds for termination of the contract (Article 52(e) of the Workers’ Statute). /p pThe requirements must have been met by the deadline for submitting applications On the closing date for applications and throughout the duration of the contract, applicants must meet and continue to meet the requirements set out in Article 8 of the Regulations on the Recruitment of Contract Staff, Chapter 6, relating to research and knowledge transfer projects, grants and agreements. In order for merits to be scored, it is essential to provide supporting documentation. /p pMerits that are merely claimed but not substantiated will not be assessed by the Selection Committee. /p ul liGeneral merits: All qualifications and certificates must be submitted in a legible PDF format. /li liProfessional experience: An up-to-date employment history report is mandatory, accompanied by employment contracts (or registration with the RETA for the self-employed), as well as a report detailing the tasks carried out. /li liResearch projects: Only certificates issued by the relevant official body (e.g. the Vice-Rectorate for Research or persons with legal authority) will be accepted. /li liLanguages: Language proficiency must be demonstrated by means of an official certificate (e.g. CEFR, Cambridge, DELE, EOI) or an equivalent recognised by the Selection Committee. /li liNote on Exclusion: Certificates or letters issued in a personal capacity by lecturers or Principal Investigators (PIs) of the projects are not valid. /li /ul pThe post may remain unfilled if no candidate achieves a score of more than 60 points (the score obtained in the interview does not count towards inclusion on the waiting list). /p pA waiting list will be drawn up comprising applicants not shortlisted by the Selection Committee; this list may be used in the event of the selected candidate’s resignation or the termination of their employment contract.
