ppWe are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Gas International Markets Trader to join our energy trading team based in Madrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies across European and international natural gas and LNG markets, optimizing portfolio value, managing market risks, and identifying new commercial opportunities globally. /p pThis strategic position requires a deep understanding of European gas hubs, international gas markets, LNG value chains, supply and demand fundamentals, transportation economics, and energy market regulations. The role will work closely with upstream, LNG, origination, shipping, risk management, finance, and executive management teams to maximize portfolio value and support the company's growth ambitions in global gas markets. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop and execute profitable trading strategies across European and international natural gas markets. /li liManage physical and financial gas positions to maximize risk-adjusted returns. /li liOptimize the company's gas and LNG portfolio through arbitrage opportunities, asset optimization, and market positioning. /li liTrade across major European hubs including TTF, MIBGAS, NBP, PEG, THE, and PSV, while monitoring international benchmark prices and regional gas dynamics. /li liIdentify and capitalize on cross-border and inter-regional trading opportunities. /li /ul h3International Gas LNG Markets /h3 ul liMonitor and analyze global gas market fundamentals, including Europe, North Africa, the Mediterranean Basin, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas. /li liAssess the impact of geopolitical developments, supply disruptions, sanctions, infrastructure constraints, and regulatory changes on global gas markets. /li liEvaluate LNG sourcing opportunities, shipping economics, regasification capacities, and destination optimization. /li liSupport the development of international gas supply and marketing strategies. /li liBuild relationships with producers, aggregators, utilities, LNG suppliers, traders, and international counterparties. /li liDevelop detailed market outlooks and price forecasts for European and international gas markets. /li liAnalyze supply-demand balances, storage levels, weather trends, LNG flows, pipeline capacities, and macroeconomic indicators. /li liProvide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to senior management. /li liEvaluate new markets, trading opportunities, and commercial partnerships. /li liManage market exposure within approved risk limits and trading mandates. /li liMonitor portfolio performance, Value at Risk (VaR), stress tests, and mark-to-market positions. /li liWork closely with Risk Management teams to ensure compliance with internal risk policies. /li liIdentify and mitigate market, credit, operational, and geopolitical risks. /li /ul h3Contract Negotiation Commercial Support /h3 ul liNegotiate gas purchase and sales agreements, LNG supply contracts, transportation agreements, storage arrangements, and balancing services. /li liSupport the structuring of long‑term gas supply contracts and spot trading opportunities. /li liContribute to commercial discussions related to gas marketing, LNG procurement, and international business development initiatives. /li /ul h3Regulatory Compliance /h3 ul liEnsure compliance with REMIT, EMIR, MiFID II, and other applicable European and international trading regulations. /li liMaintain adherence to company governance, reporting, and compliance requirements. /li /ul h3Stakeholder Management /h3 ul liCollaborate with origination, shipping, LNG, operations, legal, finance, and upstream teams. /li liPresent market views, portfolio performance, and strategic recommendations to senior management and executive leadership. /li liDevelop and maintain relationships with brokers, exchanges, counterparties, utilities, producers, and international trading partners. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 h3Education /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Energy Management, Mathematics, or a related discipline. /li liMaster's degree or MBA is considered an advantage. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liMinimum 10 years of experience in natural gas, LNG, and energy trading. /li liProven track record of trading profitability and portfolio optimization. /li liStrong experience in both European and international gas markets. /li liExperience dealing with LNG suppliers, producers, utilities, trading houses, and international counterparties. /li liExperience in physical and financial gas trading environments. /li /ul h3Technical Skills /h3 ul liDeep understanding of European gas hubs and international gas market dynamics. /li liStrong knowledge of LNG markets, shipping economics, storage optimization, and transportation systems. /li liAdvanced quantitative, analytical, and financial modeling skills. /li liExperience
