ph3What you will do /h3 pIn this role, you will be responsible for the operation and continuous development of a newly established pilot plant for microbial protein production. The facility includes multiple mixing tanks, a 200 L bioreactor for microbial fermentation, a continuous centrifuge, a spray dryer, and an automated CIP system. /p h3Key responsibilities /h3 ul liOperate and maintain all pilot plant equipment, including upstream and downstream processing units. /li liPerform cleaning (CIP) and sterilization (SIP) of the equipment. /li liMonitor fermentation processes and accurately record process parameters and performance data. /li liSupport senior scientists in microbial biomass and enzyme production projects. /li liEnsure strict compliance with safety, quality, and operational protocols. /li liTrain and mentor junior staff in the safe and efficient operation of pilot plant equipment. /li /ul h3Additional responsibilities /h3 ul liContribute to grant applications and technical documentation to secure funding for scale-up activities. /li liPrepare technical justifications and reports for funding bodies and stakeholders. /li liConduct technology scouting and support technology transfer activities. /li liParticipate in the scale-up strategy and business planning for a future industrial plant, including design, installation, commissioning, and operations. /li /ul pThis is a hands‑on technical role ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with equipment while contributing to applied research and process scale‑up. /p pWe are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and proactively solve technical challenges. /p h3Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liBSc and/or MSc in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry or a related field. /li liRelevant experience in a similar role within biotech, pharma, food industry, CMO, or academic research environments. /li /ul h3Essential for the role /h3 ul liStrong knowledge of separation operations applied to biochemical processes (including fermentation), such as biomass recovery, solid–liquid separation, and drying technologies. /li liIn‑depth knowledge in SCADA systems. /li liSolid operational and maintenance knowledge of pilot or industrial equipment. /li liExcellent communication skills in multidisciplinary environments. /li liStrong sense of ownership and a hands‑on approach. /li liFluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken). /li liValid driving license. /li /ul pPrevious experience in microbial culture growth (bacteria, yeast, etc) at pilot or industrial level will be highly valued. /p h3Location /h3 pSan Mateo de Gállego (25 minutes away by car from Zaragoza), Spain /p pOccasional business travel and/or congress attendance. /p h3What we offer /h3 pCompetitive salary commensurate with experience and an indefinite contract. /p pYou will have the opportunity to develop your professional career in stimulating and cutting‑edge research projects within a consolidated company. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
