Job Overview We are looking for a ME Lead Process Engineer for Launchers interested to work in the space industry. The ME Lead Engineer position presents an exciting opportunity to take on a technical role, lead the generation of a robust end-to-end MAIT (Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Testing) process, time and cost optimized for implementation into production. The ME Lead role is an essential role that deals with technical challenges, project change of priorities, resolving blocking actions to ensure achievement of requirements, schedule adherence, yet, maintaining quality and costs. We invite you to join a multi-skilled and highly engaged team of Engineers working on a diverse and wide range of projects. Responsibilities • Work on cross multi-functional teams to provide a consolidated Industrial Product definition: product (part detail definition), processes (manufacturing and assembly) and Industrial Means detail definition., • Ensure a correct and consistent process definition for the shop floor, time and cost optimized that meets the requirements of the project, and adheres to business standards, practices and procedures., • During the Project Design Phase, attend and/or support all project meetings and reviews, including PFMA, DMU review, and Project Concurrent MFTs with Design Engineering, Industrial Means, Quality and Production., • Prepare and confirm KIDs for product/project to be fit for Manufacture (DFM)., • Define and support the Build Process and enforce a consolidated process definition. Perform detailed simulation of the process, tolerance stack-up analysis, and final tolerance analysis., • Update and agree on the final Product Structure (As-Planned) and specifications for Delivered Components and work instructions., • Assist Industrial Planning with build process details, balancing of the line, adjustment of process times, skills, and estimated lead times., • Provide inputs on recurring and non-recurring costs associated with the industrial model., • Support supplier industrialization, including technical support for Manufacture/Purchase strategy, bid management, and contract negotiation., • Create and manage industrialization documentation: Built Process studies, Process Flows & Budget, Supplier Work Packages, BOM preparation, Routing preparation, and internal/external instructions., • During execution, attend SQCD Panels, shop floor and PPS meetings, schedule reviews, and recovery plans. Provide technical shop floor support and configuration improvements., • Track and resolve non-conformance processes, support lessons learned exercises, and provide timely feedback to managers on process engineering issues. Qualifications • Education: Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or related discipline., • Experience: At least 5 years in Manufacturing or Engineering., • Soft skills: Open mind to change culture, team working ability, and communication skills., • Languages: Advanced level in English., • Technical knowledge: SAP, CATIA, and related tools., • Nice to have: Experience in Airbus, Space or similar industry environment.
