Location: Rota, Spain University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on‑site in Rota, Spain for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Program Concentration Areas • Cybersecurity Management and Policy, • Cybersecurity Technology, • Data Analytics, • Human Resource Management, • Finance, • Global Business, • Marketing, • Nonprofit Management, • Project Management, • General Management Required Education and Experience • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field aligned with one or more of the concentration areas from an accredited institution of higher learning., • Professional experience in one or more of the listed concentration areas., • Experience teaching adult learners in online and/or higher education environments strongly preferred., • Applicants must reside locally and have legal authorization to work in Spain. Materials Needed for Submission • Resume/Curriculum Vitae, • Cover letter preferred, • Unofficial transcripts for all conferred degrees with conferral date, • International degree holders may need a translation/degree evaluation from a NACES approved vendor. The Adjunct Faculty Role • Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed and conveys enthusiasm for their learning., • Guide students in collaborative and problem‑ and project‑based learning demonstrations., • Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics for assessment of student work and acknowledging student accomplishments., • Demonstrate relevant and current subject‑matter expertise and help students connect concepts across their academic program., • Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements. Faculty Training All new faculty members are required to complete UMGC’s online new faculty orientation, FacDev 122, as a condition of hire. Salary and Benefits • Salary commensurate with experience., • Health Coverage: access to health care, medical with vision, dental, and prescription plans for individuals and families, effective from the 1st of the month following hire. Adjuncts are only eligible for Maryland state benefits and would be responsible for the full cost if enrolled., • Insurance Options: Term Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance., • Supplemental Retirement Plans: 403(b), 457(b), and various Roth options. The university does not provide matching funds. Hiring Rate by Degree • Non‑PhD: Step 1 $903 – Step 16 $1,173 per credit hour., • PhD: Step 1 $931 – Step 16 $1,215 per credit hour.
