pul liValkyrie Enterprises has a need for a bProject Manager /b who will be a key person to perform management and technical duties to monitor and control the progress of multi-discipline engineering tasks. /li liLocated in Rota, Spain /li /ul h3Job Description /h3 ul liDirect liaison between the Program Manager and Site Supervisor, the government customer (OSIC), host shipyard facility, ships force, subcontractors/vendors, and/or local RMC. /li liResponsible for the planning, budgeting, executing, monitoring, controlling, and documenting all aspects of assigned projects. /li liWorks closely with Program Manager to ensure assigned projects are within scope, direction, and on schedule. /li liResponsible for the preplanning work on upcoming AIT projects to include creating QA Workbook, estimating work to be performed, and creating project, monthly, weekly, and daily work plans. /li liResponsible for the quality of all personnel on assigned projects including subcontractors and vendors, responsible for tracking subcontractor and vendor hours. /li liResponsible for researching, BOM creation, purchasing, tracking, and kitting of project material; coordinates the movement of material to and from assigned projects. /li liResponsible for producing and maintaining integrated schedules for the duration of and completion of assigned projects; will report progress of assigned projects at a minimum of weekly. /li liResponsible for establishing manning requirements for assigned projects. /li liResponsible for RMMCO check-in and check-out for assigned projects. /li liAttends meetings for assigned projects as required. /li liDevelop and implement corrosion control programs and strategies. /li liConduct corrosion risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures. /li liOversee the inspection and monitoring of corrosion control systems. /li liCoordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure proper installation and maintenance of corrosion control measures. /li liReview and analyze corrosion data to identify trends and areas for improvement. /li liEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to corrosion control. /li liTrain and mentor staff on corrosion control best practices. /li liPrepare reports and presentations on corrosion control activities and results. /li liStay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulations related to corrosion control. /li liInspect surfaces to be prepared and identify any imperfections or damage. /li liClean surfaces using appropriate tools and material. /li liOrganizational skills and computer literate. /li liPrior project management skills leading teams of 10 or more people. /li liHistory of assignment on multiple ship classes. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMust have bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience and at least 4 years of program or project management experience. Equivalent experience to bachelor’s degree = additional 4 years experience. /li liMust have Working knowledge of project management principles; the ability to detect and resolve conflicts within the scope of the assigned projects and to detect and resolve risks to maintain the assigned projects within budgets and schedules. /li liFamiliar with financial reporting and delivery of financial status of projects. /li liHas documented and demonstrated technical background and leadership skills. /li liMust have working knowledge of drawings, shipyard operations, Navy operations, NAVSEA instructions, WAF and Tagout requirements, and general AIT contractor knowledge. /li liMust have general working knowledge of computers/technology and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. /li liMust have the ability to build a QA Workbook/work package. /li liMust be able to provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned task(s) including subcontractor/vendor management at the site. /li liMust have the ability to communicate effectively. /li /ul h3Desired Qualifications /h3 ul liPMP certification /li liPrefer experience using Microsoft Project to write proposals /li liPrevious experience in reading/developing drawings for the navy and MSC ships. /li liKnowledge with in corrosion control, paintings and top coating. /li /ul h3Security Requirements /h3 ul liMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. /li liMust have the ability to gain access to private and public shipyards and Naval installations. /li /ul h3Travel Requirements /h3 ul liUp to 50% travel nationwide to include international travel as needed. /li liIf position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
