We are looking for a driven IT Cyber Security Engineer to join our global Information Technology team, playing a critical role in protecting Clariant's digital assets, systems, and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. Based in Barcelona, Spain, this operates within a global scope, working closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, and senior leadership teams. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop, implement, and continuously maintain Clariant's cybersecurity risk management framework and methodology /li liConduct regular cybersecurity risk assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities across systems, applications, and infrastructure /li liDefine and track key risk indicators and metrics to measure and communicate risk exposure effectively /li liMonitor and evaluate emerging IT risks, including cybersecurity threats, compliance issues, and operational risks /li liEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks including ISF SoGP, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF /li liDesign and document processes and procedures that strengthen Clariant's security services portfolio /li liSupport the design and delivery of security awareness training programs tailored to diverse internal audiences /li liDrive and support phishing simulation campaigns to test and continuously improve employee security awareness /li liCollaborate with the Cyber Security Operations team on ongoing projects and daily operational tasks /li liProactively research and stay current with the latest cybersecurity technologies, trends, and threat landscapes /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor's degree or higher in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field /li liMinimum 3–4 years of experience in IT risk management, information security consulting, or a related domain /li liAt least 2 years of hands‑on experience in Cyber Security /li liWorking knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and ISF SoGP /li liRelevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent) are a strong advantage /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus) /li liStrong interpersonal and cross‑cultural communication skills, including the ability to engage at senior management level /li liProactive, curious, and investigative mindset with a continuous improvement approach /li liAbility to navigate conflict constructively and deliver results in a fast‑paced global environment /li liFlexibility and a "go the extra mile" attitude when tackling complex security challenges /li /ul h3Our Offer /h3 ul li Total Target Cash includes base salary and annual bonus; final offer based on skills and experience /li liA strategic, high‑impact role within a global IT Security team protecting operations across multiple continents /li liThe opportunity to work in a digitally transforming organization /li liA collaborative culture that fosters ownership, innovation, and continuous learning /li liAccess to professional development, certifications, and knowledge‑sharing within a diverse, multicultural IT team /li liA workplace committed to sustainability, integrity, and ethical conduct — embedded in everything we do /li liA modern and flexible working environment based in Barcelona, with a truly global reach /li /ul h3Equal Employment Opportunity /h3 pAt Clariant, we believe that diversity, equity and inclusion are essential to our success.
