Context of the Position As part of our strategic international expansion, JD Logistics is establishing its core infrastructure within the Spanish market, driven by the launch of our small‑goods fulfillment operations. This is a critical greenfield deployment phase, which requires our founding leadership team to manage high operational fluidity, establish local processes from the ground up, and translate centralized global capabilities into localized execution. This position is designed for an accomplished logistics professional with the strategic depth to oversee large‑scale fulfillment operations and the long‑term vision to contribute to the broader structural growth of JD Logistics within the region. Mission & Scope The Mission: Take comprehensive operational and strategic ownership of our brand‑new small‑goods fulfillment center in the Madrid area, ensuring a flawless launch, rigorous SLA management, and long‑term site optimization. The Scope: You will take full accountability for the entire site blueprint—from warehouse layout readiness and inventory intake to high‑velocity e‑commerce outbound dispatch—while ensuring strict compliance with the Madrid Logistics Collective Agreement and regional labor standards. Crucial Expectations & Performance Targets To provide a clear understanding of the accountability required, the successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key metrics during the initial 6‑12 months. Operational Commissioning: Successfully execute the launch, stabilization, and scaling of the small‑goods fulfillment center within strict timelines, ensuring 100% compliance with local Spanish regulations and corporate standards. Process Standardization: Design and optimize local standard operating procedures (SOPs) by adapting global high‑velocity technical frameworks to the operational reality of the Madrid logistics hub. Talent Architecture: Build, train, and structurally organize the local team (Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Operators), establishing a metrics‑driven, high‑performance culture aligned with global corporate objectives. Strategic Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the primary operational link between the Madrid facility and global headquarters, effectively managing high‑level KPIs, multi‑million SKU inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.
