Job Description Job Title: Consultant (contract), MENA Region Location: Riyadh, Dubai, or Cairo Team: Global Health Strategies - MENA Region About GHS Global Health Strategies (GHS) is a communications, advocacy, and public affairs consultancy working across global health, life sciences, and public health. Our MENA team supports clients on programme delivery, policy engagement, media relations, and thought leadership across the region. Role Overview We are looking for a consultant to join our MENA team to support a broad range of client accounts and programmes. This is a generalist role spanning content development, media relations, project delivery, event management, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, an organized project manager, and someone comfortable operating across both strategic and delivery level work. Key Responsibilities Client Support and portfolio growth • Support day-to-day client management, ensuring responsive, high quality service delivery, • Contribute to business development, including proposals, pitches, and capability decks Stakeholder Engagement • Support engagement with patient advocates, academics, policymakers, and other health ecosystem stakeholders, • Build and maintain a professional network relevant to regional global health priorities Project and Programme Management • Support all phases of the project cycle, including scoping, planning, budgeting, execution, and reporting, • Coordinate timelines and deliverables across multiple concurrent workstreams, • At least 2 years of project management experience, or demonstrable involvement across the full project cycle Event Management • Lead end-to-end delivery of events, including programming, speaker identification and management, vendor coordination, budget tracking, and risk mitigation, • Support flagship convenings, forums, and stakeholder roundtables Content and Thought Leadership • Draft and edit long-form pieces including op-eds, press releases, and thought leadership articles for clients and spokespeople, • Write strategic documents such as concept notes and business proposals Media Relations • Build and maintain relationships with top-tier regional and international media, particularly health and science journalists, • Develop and execute media pitches, securing placements in top-tier outlets, • Support press release distribution and media monitoring Social Media and Digital Content • Plan and execute social media content calendars and campaigns, • Create platform native content aligned to client brand voice, • Manage community engagement and monitor performance Desired Qualifications and Experience • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience at a PR agency, in a public health communications role, or at a health event planning organization, • Proven experience writing and placing media pieces (op-eds, press releases, thought leadership), • Strong project management experience with significant involvement across all phases of the project cycle, • Established relationships with top-tier media and health/science journalists, • Proven ability to pitch and place stories in top-tier media, • Experience managing events end-to-end, including programming, speaker management, vendor management, and risk mitigation, • Strong track record writing concept notes, business proposals, and similar strategic documents, • Social media experience, including content creation, campaign planning, and community management, • Fluency in Arabic and English, spoken and written; French is an advantage, • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in public health, communications, or a related field is a plus Preferred • Existing relationships with, or prior professional engagement with, patient advocacy groups, academics, policymakers, or other global health stakeholders, • Familiarity with the health, life sciences, or public health sector in the MENA region Compensation and Contract Type Compensation and contract type will be discussed during the interview process.
