Job DescriptionJob Title: Sheet Metal InstallerJob Description This role focuses on the installation of sheet metal and HVAC systems, including ductwork, in construction environments. You will interpret blueprints, fabricate and install duct systems, and ensure all work meets safety standards and project specifications. Responsibilities • Install sheet metal components for HVAC systems according to project specifications and industry standards., • Install, assemble, and secure ductwork and related duct systems in commercial and residential construction projects., • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans to determine layout, materials, and installation methods., • Measure, cut, and fit sheet metal and duct sections using appropriate tools and techniques., • Inspect completed installations to verify proper alignment, fit, and function of ductwork and sheet metal components., • Coordinate with other trades on-site to ensure efficient and safe installation of HVAC and duct systems., • Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols while performing installation tasks., • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition., • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to duct installation, alignment, and airflow as needed.Essential Skills, • At least 5 years of experience in sheet metal installation, ductwork, or related construction trades., • Proficiency in installing sheet metal and HVAC duct systems in construction environments., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings accurately., • Strong understanding of duct installation techniques, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing duct sections., • OSHA 30 certification., • Site Safety Training (SST) certification., • Solid knowledge of construction site safety practices and regulations., • Ability to use hand and power tools commonly required for sheet metal and duct installation., • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working in a fabrication or sheet metal shop environment., • Background in general construction or HVAC installation projects., • Ability to collaborate effectively with field teams and other trades., • Strong problem-solving skills for addressing installation and alignment issues on-site.Why Work Here? Work hours typically follow standard construction schedules, with potential variations depending on project needs. Appropriate workwear and personal protective equipment are required in both the field and shop settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Plains, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
