Job DescriptionSalary: $35 - $40/hour OVERALL Reporting to our Facilities Manager, the Production Maintenance Technician will assist in maintaining and repairing building systems and production equipment at our production facility. This role is hands-on and wide-ranging, involving mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility upkeep to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations throughout. You'll work closely with the brewery team to minimize downtime, complete preventative maintenance, and support production goals. This is a full time hourly, non- exempt position. EVERYDAY ESSENTIAL TASKS • Perform general maintenance of building systems (HVAC, chillers, utilities, parking lot, condensers, and offices)., • Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) and respond quickly to repairs to avoid downtime., • Work closely with brewing operations to prioritize maintenance needs., • Conduct regular inspections of the brewery, canning line, and exterior grounds to identify equipment or structural issues, lighting failures, or aesthetic wear and tear., • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and execute repairs within the scope of general maintenance expertise to minimize production disruptions., • Provide regular updates on maintenance progress and completion., • Use a variety of power and hand tools safely and maintain a clean, organized work environment., • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems including motors, pumps, sensors, lighting, and control panels., • Assist with installation and commissioning of equipment and utilities, • Monitor and maintain building systems such as plumbing, lighting, drainage, and fire suppression., • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventive maintenance logs., • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized service or inspections., • Identify and recommend opportunities for process or energy efficiency improvements., • Specifically prohibited from attempting repairs outside your area of expertise., • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for oneself, other employees, and guests, • At times may assist in packaging of product and/or cross trained in some production areas as needed. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred., • Proven experience (2-4+ years) in an industrial/manufacturing environment (brewery experience a plus)., • Experience or strong interest in electrical systems (wiring, motor control, VFDs)., • HVAC/chiller/utility maintenance experience., • Welding and fabrication skills (especially stainless-steel / sanitary systems) preferred., • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)., • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals., • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments., • Excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to identify a problem and use analytical skills to identify the root cause and implement sustainable solutions, • Knowledge of safety policies and procedures required (e.g. lock out /tag out, confined space entry, etc.) and commitment to maintain a safe workplace., • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously., • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks., • Excellent written communication and documentation skills, • Skilled in accurate record keeping and reporting, • Takes initiative, detail oriented with awareness of the larger picture, • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a growing company PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS • Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for prolonged periods, • Able to maneuver on uneven ground, • Able to read and follow written English instructions, • Able to regularly twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, and occasionally crawl, • Lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds using appropriate techniques and tools, • Able to safely navigate crowded spaces, • Operate food preparation appliances and machinery, • Able to tolerate exposure to extreme changes in temperature, • Able perform daily repetitive hand movements as it pertains to food preparation, • Able to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance, • Able to move 165-pounds, using appropriate techniques and tools, • Able to work in a production environment which may be loud, slick, humid, cold, and hot, • Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with moderate noise and occasionally slippery floors, • Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards.
