Job Description Electromechanical Assembler - Vista, CA - Immediately Hiring Job Description The Electromechanical Assembler plays a key role in the rapid manufacturing of sub-assemblies and finished systems, working on medium to large builds that involve assembly, disassembly, and packaging. This position combines indoor and outdoor work and requires safe operation of forklifts, lifts, and other machinery. You will follow detailed assembly documentation, use a variety of tools and material-handling equipment, record system information, and collaborate positively with team members. Some systems are large and require the ability to physically maneuver around equipment. The role is ideal for a positive, energetic, self-motivated individual who is ready to learn and contribute to mission-critical projects. Responsibilities • Assemble and disassemble cables, panels, enclosures, and other medium to large assembly types according to documented procedures., • Install components and devices in accordance with assembly documentation, drawings, and schematics., • Operate test vehicles during system testing to support verification and validation activities., • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling machinery safely during the assembly process., • Work with and around X-ray systems as part of system builds and testing activities., • Work with and handle lead components while following all safety and handling guidelines., • Assist with testing and troubleshooting of final systems to ensure proper functionality and performance., • Read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics accurately., • Use basic hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks., • Utilize measuring tools such as multimeters, continuity checkers, tape measures, and other required tools to verify product conformity., • Provide feedback on assembly processes and suggest changes or improvements to enhance quality and efficiency., • Complete build records and documentation accurately and in a timely manner., • Conduct quality checks on your own work and perform buddy checks on the work of others when required., • Maintain workspace cleanliness and organization using 5S methodologies and other lean practices., • Follow manufacturing guidelines, standard operating procedures, and work instructions consistently., • Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies relevant to manufacturing and system operation., • Participate in cross-training activities to broaden skills across different product lines and processes., • Work safely at heights using lifts or ladders when required by the size of the equipment., • Perform assembly and testing tasks on systems used for non-intrusive inspection of passenger and commercial vehicles. Essential Skills • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment performing related assembly, testing, or mechanical duties., • Proficiency in cable assembly and harness fabrication for medium to large systems., • Hands-on experience with soldering and use of basic hand tools for electro-mechanical work., • Experience with machine building or system assembly involving panels, enclosures, and structural components., • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics., • Skill in using multimeters, continuity checkers, tape measures, and other measurement tools to verify product conformity., • Capability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material-handling equipment safely., • Comfort working with and around X-ray systems and handling lead components while following safety guidelines., • Awareness of electrostatic discharge (ESD) principles and practices to protect sensitive components., • Average computer skills for daily tasks such as documentation, data entry, and communication., • Strong attention to detail and a quality-conscious approach to all work., • Ability to execute and complete work in a timely manner with a strong sense of drive and ambition., • Personal integrity, trustworthiness, and respect in interactions with team members., • Strong interpersonal skills to help maintain a positive and collaborative culture., • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience working in a production facility environment with established manufacturing guidelines and procedures., • Familiarity with 5S or other lean manufacturing methodologies to maintain an organized and efficient workspace., • Prior exposure to systems used for non-intrusive inspection of passenger and commercial vehicles., • Comfort working at heights on lifts or ladders due to the size of equipment., • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors depending on equipment and assignment needs., • Willingness to participate in cross-training and learn new product lines and processes., • Demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback on assembly processes and suggest improvements., • Experience conducting quality checks and peer buddy checks to support a culture of quality. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
