About the Role As a Class 2 Driver, you will: Operate a rigid vehicle equipped with a tail lift to deliver bakery products to a range of retail outlets, wholesale and convenience stores across the South of England. Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate early start times, safely operate tail‐lift equipment, and carry out manual handling of bread deliveries in line with safe working practices. Ensure all goods are loaded, secured, and transported correctly to prevent movement or damage, using straps, load restraint bars, and other securing equipment as required. Conduct comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using the company‐issued mobile device, ensuring vehicle safety, compliance, and reliability at all times. Maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing timely updates on progress to support efficient operations and customer satisfaction. Participate fully in regular training sessions to remain up to date with industry standards, compliance requirements, and best‐practice procedures. Essential Skills and Qualifications Must hold a UK Class 2 C Licence. Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Demonstrate a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Ability to work effectively to deadlines in a fast‐paced environment. Confident, courteous, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
