Multi Trade Operative \n Join a Growing Property Maintenance Team \n Are you a skilled Multi Trade Operative looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused professional to carry out responsive repairs, planned maintenance, void property works, and property inspections across a residential housing portfolio. \n The Role \n As a Multi Trade Operative, you will deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance across your primary trade while supporting a range of secondary trades when required. You will work independently, managing your workload effectively to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Carry out day-to-day repairs, maintenance works, void property refurbishments, and property inspections.\n, • Deliver quality workmanship across your specialist trade and support other trades where required.\n, • Use handheld devices (PDA/mobile technology) to manage jobs, update records, and complete documentation in real time.\n, • Order and manage materials efficiently, minimising waste.\n, • Complete repairs on the first visit wherever possible.\n, • Conduct risk assessments and work in line with Health & Safety regulations.\n, • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle to the required standards.\n, • Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with residents and stakeholders.\n, • Attend scheduled appointments and ensure all work is completed to agreed service levels.\n, • Support and supervise apprentices when required.\n\n What We're Looking For \n Essential \n\n • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent practical experience in a recognised trade.\n, • Strong experience within property maintenance, repairs, or construction environments.\n, • Competence across multiple trades, with a recognised primary trade specialism.\n, • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.\n, • Strong organisational and time management skills.\n, • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.\n, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n, • Full UK driving licence.\n\n For Electrical Candidates \n\n • 18th Edition qualification.\n, • City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification.\n, • Proven experience carrying out electrical repairs and installations in compliance with current regulations.\n\n Desirable \n\n • Current CSCS card.\n, • Experience working within social housing, housing associations, or residential maintenance contracts.\n\n What's on Offer? \n\n • Company vehicle provided.\n, • Stable, long-term work within a professional maintenance environment.\n, • Variety of work across occupied and void residential properties.\n, • Opportunities for training, development, and career progression.\n, • Supportive team culture focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.\n\n Apply Today \n If you're a reliable and skilled Multi Trade Operative with a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs and excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
