How does constant training and development sound??Here at XPO, we take our people seriously.Were looking for a talented Contract Supervisor to join us, working a Late shift 12:00-21:00 at our site in Crick.As a Contract Supervisor you will oversee the transport and warehouse operations are in line with the daily requirements at the Crick site. Also supporting the Contract Manager in order to satisfy the needs of the customer efficiently and effectively, whilst ensuring full compliance with health & safety processes and procedures.Pay, benefits and more:Were looking to offer a salary of up to £30,000 per annum. Youll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.What youll do on a typical day:Ensure all XPO logistics company processes and procedures are followed with regard to all operational activity.Responsible for the afternoon transport planning:Ensure that vehicles are planned properlyDispatch & debrief drivers as per company policyEnsure all paperwork is completed and filed correctlyEnsure depot compliance is up to date on Tacho management system, and all infringements are signed off in a timely manner.Investigate and rectify any missing mileageManage breakdowns and defects in a timely mannerSend appropriate and accurate handoverComplete a full walk around and deck check at the beginning & end of the shift and check system / action as required.Manage fleet compliance, booking any servicing & MOTs, updating files and online tracking tools.Book agency driving resource and allocate to the daily plan.Complete vehicle checks highlighting MOT / Service information and ensuring any out of service / MOT are not loaded.Ensure all inbound /outbound freight is managed effectively, allocated to the correct areas ready for onwards movement, and that hold freight, and returns are stored as required.Monitor all staff; timekeeping, appearance and use of PPE- and resolve as appropriate.Ensure all drivers are completing their allocated workload and that all required tasks are completed in line with H&S and operational requirements.Ensure all MHE is in working area and ensure any equipment not in working order is VORd and arrangements made for repairs.Ensure warehouse area is kept clean, and tidy at all times.Ensure that any damage caused or identified while loading / unloading is dealt with in line with the Goods in Transit process and that statements are taken. where required along with photographs of damage.What you need to succeed at XPO:Proven transport operations experienceStrong team leadership and people managementFleet and compliance oversight (Tacho, MOTs, servicing)KPI reporting (Excel, Power BI)Confident customer communicationHealth & Safety awarenessBe Part of Something Big:We strive to create an inclusive environment for all our colleagues, where everyone feels welcomed, empowered and where you can bring your true self to work.
