About the Role We are seeking an experienced, professional, and customer-focused Driver Guide to join our team. This role is ideal for someone aged 25 or over with a passion for tourism, excellent driving skills, and a good knowledge of the Cotswolds, including its villages, history, and attractions. You will be responsible for safely transporting guests while providing engaging commentary and ensuring every customer enjoys a first-class experience. Key Responsibilities • Safely drive passengers on full-day Cotswolds tours from London., • Deliver engaging and informative commentary throughout the journey., • Provide outstanding customer service to international visitors., • Ensure tours operate safely and on schedule., • Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and maintain a clean, professional vehicle., • Represent Velare Transport Ltd in a professional and courteous manner at all times. Essential Requirements • Aged 25 years or over., • Valid D1 or PCV licence with a clean driving record., • Good knowledge of the Cotswolds, its history, villages, and visitor attractions., • Excellent spoken English and confident public speaking skills., • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills., • Smart, professional appearance., • Reliable, punctual, and organised., • Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays as required. Desirable • Previous experience as a Driver Guide or Tour Guide., • Experience working with international tourists., • Additional language skills are an advantage. Training Applicants should have a good working knowledge of the Cotswolds. However, additional training will be provided to familiarise you with our tour routes, commentary, and customer service standards.
