4 on / 4 off rotating days and nights Days: 5:30am5:30pm | Nights: 5:30pm5:30am Permanent | Full-time | Competitive salary + excellent benefits Are you an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer looking for a secure, permanent role within a large-scale manufacturing business? We are recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy engineering team at a major food manufacturing site near Sleaford. This is a varied, hands-on maintenance role where you will be responsible for keeping critical production machinery running safely and efficiently. You will respond to breakdowns, complete planned preventative maintenance, diagnose electrical faults and support projects designed to improve equipment performance, reliability and uptime. The role would suit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Electrical Engineer with strong fault-finding skills and experience gained within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, packaging, processing or another fast-paced industrial environment. The Role As Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will provide engineering support across a high-volume production site. Your responsibilities will include: Responding quickly and safely to machinery breakdowns and plant stoppages Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on production machinery Carrying out electrical maintenance, servicing and equipment adjustments Completing planned preventative maintenance activities Fault-finding on single-phase and three-phase electrical systems Identifying recurring faults and supporting long-term engineering solutions Improving equipment reliability, availability, performance and OEE Helping reduce production downtime and improve site efficiency Recording engineering work, labour and parts accurately using SAP and PPM systems Completing maintenance records, permits and engineering documentation Working closely with production teams and engineering colleagues Supporting external engineers and contractors when required Following site Health and Safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and COSHH Contributing to continuous improvement and energy-reduction projects Supporting apprentices, new starters and production colleagues where appropriate The Candidate To be considered for this Electrical Maintenance Engineer position, you will need: NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering Recognised UK electrical engineering qualifications Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, production or an industrial environment Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience working with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems Experience maintaining production machinery, plant or automated equipment The ability to respond calmly and safely to breakdown situations Good communication skills and attention to detail The ability to complete accurate maintenance and engineering records A proactive, reliable and safety-focused approach Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, poultry, processing or high-volume production would be advantageous.
