Firm A highly regarded law firm is looking to appoint a Legal Assistant to join its established and approachable Residential Property team in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a professional and collaborative team within a successful organisation.Role The successful candidate will provide key support to the Residential Property team, assisting fee earners with the day-to-day management and progression of conveyancing matters. This role would be well suited to an organised and detail-focused individual with previous experience in a conveyancing support role, who is keen to continue developing their knowledge within residential property. The ideal candidate will be confident working in a busy legal environment, able to prioritise competing deadlines and committed to providing a high level of service to clients and external stakeholders.Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:\n\n • Supporting fee earners with the administration and progression of residential property matters\n, • Assisting with client onboarding, preparing quotes and responding to enquiries\n, • Communicating with clients, solicitors, lenders and estate agents to provide updates and resolve queries\n, • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring files meet regulatory and quality requirements\n, • Supporting with leasehold transactions and property searches\n, • Using the Land Registry portal for registrations, requisitions, official copies, leases and title plans\n, • Preparing Stamp Duty Land Tax calculations and related submissions\n, • Assisting with billing processes and liaising with the finance team\n, • Providing general office support, including occasional reception cover when required\nThe ideal candidate will have:\n\n, • Previous experience within conveyancing, ideally as a Legal Assistant or Conveyancing Assistant\n, • A basic understanding of residential property transactions and procedures\n, • Experience working within a legal office environment\n, • Familiarity with case management systems\n, • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications\n, • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail\n, • The ability to manage a varied workload and work effectively to deadlines\n, • Strong communication skills and a professional approach\nBenefits The firm offers a competitive benefits package, including:\n\n, • Attractive salary dependent on experience\n, • 26 days’ holiday plus bank holidays\n, • Pension scheme\n, • Structured training and development opportunities\n, • Holiday bonus scheme\n, • Funded eye tests\n, • Supportive team environment with opportunities for progression\n, • The opportunity to build a long-term career within a national law firm\n
