You will assist the Executive Chef in ensuring the smooth running of foodservice operations and delivering high-quality food that meets guest expectations. This includes ensuring all dishes are prepared to specification with correct quality, portion size, and temperature, supervising kitchen staff to maintain standards in production, quality, quantity, and safety, and partly managing kitchen cleaning rosters and schedules. You will also carry out administrative tasks as requested by your line manager, assist other chefs when needed, coach and train junior team members, and promote good team spirit. What You’ll Bring? We are looking for a Junior Pastry Chef to join our bakery team, working across our bakery locations to support daily pastry baking, finishing, and service operations while maintaining the high standards our customers know and love. This role is ideal for someone with previous pastry experience who is eager to develop their skills within a supportive and fast-paced bakery environment. Your Responsibilities Bake pastries and viennoiserie products according to daily production requirements. Finish and decorate pastries to company presentation standards. Monitor product quality, consistency, and appearance throughout the day. Ensure pastry displays are fully stocked, attractive, and maintained during service. Assemble sandwiches and other bakery products according to company specifications. Follow recipes, standards, and operational procedures accurately. Manage baking schedules to ensure products are available throughout the day. Minimise waste through proper stock rotation and careful product handling. Maintain excellent food safety, allergen, and hygiene standards at all times. Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean, organised, and service-ready. Support the wider bakery team with daily operational and service requirements. Assist with deliveries, stock checks, and other bakery duties as required.
