The Work Shop are delighted to be recruiting for a Customs Compliance Coordinator for a growing global organisation based in Southampton in the import export market. \n \n As the successful Customs Compliance Coordinator – Southampton \n\n • Salary up to £45,000\n, • Southampton office\n, • Office based - 5 days per week. 8:30am – 5pm\n, • 23 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays) rising to 28 with service\n, • Pension – 5% employee contribution, 3% employer (rises with service – max 8%)\n, • Flexi time – system allows you to accumulate hours to be taken in that month or following month(subject to approval) ( 8 hours Max in any month)\n, • Free car parking\n, • Life assurance and income protection after 3 months\n, • Employee Assistance Programme\n\n \n Duties for the Customs Compliance Coordinator: \n Tasks include (but not limited to): \n Customs and Duties: \n\n • Manage the bonded warehouse system in the UK; recommend improvements and efficient ways of operation\n, • Update the Duty rates and quota balances\n, • Understand the import duty calculations\n, • Reconcile Customs bonded system\n, • Understand tariff codes classifications\n, • Understand country of origin\n, • Import regulations/limitations into the UK and EU\n, • CBAM and UK equivalent; be part of the CBAM process and team\n\n Export Compliance and DFARS: \n\n • Ensuring that UK export products responsibly and legal throughout the world\n, • Understand the BlueJay System used by the USA\n, • Assist in classifying items for export control and updating Metalware\n, • Advise the client on which exports need licenses\n, • DFARS: Understand the requirements of DFARS/FARs and how we implement in the UK\n, • Maintaining our system in MW\n, • Conduct Export Compliance Audits, Training and manage interaction with HMRC\n\n AEO Authorisation: \n\n • Manage our AEO authorisation, ensuring compliance to the regulation and audits\n\n General: \n\n • Perform employee compliance training\n, • Report violations of laws, regulation and company policies to the management team\n, • Assist in performing internal investigations as may be directed by executive management\n, • Attends compliance trainings and seminars\n, • Answer employee questions relative to export regulations and internal compliance procedures\n, • Internal audit for QMS\n\n \n As a Customs Coordinator, you will be required to work Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.
