Are you a qualified Strategy Accountant looking for a high-impact role in a growing business? The Strategy Accountant will take ownership of the company’s financial management, reporting, and control environment. \n Acting as a member of the leadership team, the role will provide hands-on accounting, whilst working with the directors to develop reporting processes. These will enable improved efficiency, cost management, growth and increased profitability. \n The Management Accountant role suits a qualified CIMA, ACA or an ACCA professional who is confident managing a small team, comfortable working closely with senior leadership, and keen to contribute to real business transformation. \n \n The Role of Strategy Accountant: \n\n • Lead the company's financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and the preparation of accurate monthly and year-end financial reports.\n, • Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE, HMRC regulations, and oversee the annual statutory audit process.\n, • Provide strategic financial insight, modelling, pricing, margin analysis, and commercial support to inform business planning and decision-making.\n, • Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and funding to optimise business performance and liquidity.\n, • Strengthen financial controls, enhance accounting and ERP systems, and drive process improvements to improve efficiency, scalability, and profitability.\n, • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while working with HR to oversee payroll processes and continuous system improvements.\n, • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by supporting cross-functional teams with financial guidance, training, and business awareness.\n\n \n Key competencies of the Strategy Accountant: \n\n • CIMA, ACA or an ACCA qualified (newly qualified considered)\n, • Proven experience as a Management Accountant.\n, • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of UK GAAP and Corporation Tax.\n, • Proficient in accounting and ERP systems.\n, • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.\n, • Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n, • High attention to detail with the ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.\n, • Strong leadership and communication skills\n, • Team player with a collaborative approach\n\n \n Performance Indicators of the Strategy Accountant: \n\n • Accuracy and timeliness of management reporting\n, • Improvement in cashflow and working capital\n, • Strength and compliance of financial controls\n, • Contribution to margin improvement and cost efficiency\n, • Successful audit outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction\n\n \n If you're a qualified Management or Strategy Accountant ready to take on a varied, busy role with genuine scope to make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
