Role Overview: As a Transport Manager,you will deliver amazing brand standards and service. As a Transport Manager you will be responsible for planning driver resource, monitoring drivers on road activity and support with driver debriefing, ensuring driver feedback is dealt with in a pro-active manner. When working in the office you will complete all transport related duties including route planning, monitoring compliance and you will also performance manage the driver team. The driving routes will always start and finish within the same day at the Livingston Laundry, with no overnight or nighttime driving. Joining the dedicated Laundry department, you will: • Manage the daily operation, routing, and scheduling of laundry collection and delivery vehicles to ensure efficient customer service., • Take responsibility for ensuring compliance of our drivers including working hours/tachograph management, health and safety and vehicle checks, • Provide oversight and fleet management support for company vehicles located at other sites, ensuring consistent maintenance, compliance, and operational standards across all locations., • Review and update Regulatory Obligations when any changes to Driver, Transport compliance or Health and Safety, • Manage external suppliers, including vehicle leasing companies, maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, and breakdown services., • Complete Transport related administrative tasks, • Debrief drivers either on site or remotely, • Manage and support drivers, including recruitment, training, induction, performance management, and compliance checks., • Investigate vehicle incidents, accidents, and compliance breaches, implementing corrective actions where required., • Assist the administrative team and Operations Manager when required, • Occasionally support with delivery of Laundry to our various hotels and distribute all laundry items required by customers. About you: On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Transport Manager. With this in mind, we are looking for a Transport Manager who: • Can deliver excellent standards, • Has a customer service attitude, • Must be able to produce full Catergory C (Class 2) UK DVLA Driver's Licence on application with no more than 3 points, with no DD(reckless/dangerous driving), DR(drink or drugs) or CD(careless driving) endorsements., • Hold up to date CPC training and a tachograph.
