I'm supporting a great Care Home seeking a new Catering/Kitchen Team Leader. You will be contributing into a positive, homely environment for residents and a good work environment for staff \n \n Location - Kent (ideally a driver due to the location) \n Salary - £32,957.60 per annum \n The shift pattern is (7.00am - 6.30pm) 4 days on, 4 days off. \n \n The Role: \n\n • Team Leader of the kitchen function ensuring the smooth running of the shift.\n, • Ownership of meal and snack delivery for residents and staff (meals) within the guidelines provided by the Catering Manager, and in accordance with best practice.\n, • Responsible for reflecting residents' dietary needs in meal and snack provision, including following IDDSI principles.\n, • Lead the highest standards of hygiene in kitchens.\n, • Ensure very good presentation of meals and snacks to add to the meal experience.\n, • Ensure stocks are maintained at all times.\n, • Assist with food service by taking food and beverage trolley to the dining area within the home.\n, • Assist with the preparation of menus per Catering Manager guidance.\n, • Monitor provisions reporting to the Catering Manager ensuring stock levels are maintained in a timely and cost-effective manner.\n, • Assist with deliveries.\n, • Assist with washing up and putting away cutlery to ensure a presentable kitchen throughout the shift.\n, • Assist with cleaning rota\n, • Assist residents at mealtimes as directed by the Nurse in charge.\n, • Maintain a focus on personal development, endeavouring to become better at doing the job.\n, • Ideally three years experience working as Cook in a Care Home kitchen, preferably in team lead role, delivering fresh home cooked food to a diverse audienc - Care Home Experience is not essential but a respectful and empathetic attitude towards our residents is essential.\n, • Very good knowledge of IDDSI, including up to date IDDSI training.\n, • Food hygiene certificate level 3 and HACCP level 3\n\n \n \n \n
