Ref: 5299983 \n Location: Kingston Upon Thames (KT1) – Covering 2 sites 15 minutes apart \n Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm \n Pay: £42,000 per annum \n Duration: Temp to Perm \n \n Duties \n The Maintenance & Service technician will be required to carry out a range of both Reactive Works and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks in accordance with the PPM schedule, including but not limited to: \n\n • Deliver a wide range of planned & reactive maintenance works.\n, • Provide initial response to all Reactive Maintenance requests during normal working hours and Out of Hours as part of the On-call Out of Hours Rota. A company van will be provided for use to travel to and from the sites as needed (excludes personal use)\n, • Quarterly shower head & hose cleaning in accordance with L8 requirements (full training will be provided)\n, • Monthly temperature monitoring of Hot & Cold water systems\n, • Continuous monitoring and maintenance of mechanical systems, fittings and plantrooms\n, • Weekly flushing of water outlets in all unoccupied rooms\n, • Weekly fire alarm testing on the student accommodation\n, • Bi-annual Fire Door inspections (full training will be provided), ensuring necessary adjustments are completed / faults & damage recorded accurately.\n, • Undertake regular visual inspections of building fabric, furniture, fixtures & fittings\n, • Effect repairs to building fabric, furniture, fixtures & fittings where noted / when reported.\n, • Undertake minor repairs to faults reported within student bedrooms and shared kitchen facilities covering all elements of building Fabric, Fixtures & Fittings.\n, • Undertake minor decorating works when needed.\n, • Undertake quarterly RCD Function tests\n, • Attend to faults with domestic water supply & drainage systems / other plumbing works including but not limited to resolving blocked toilets & drains, changing taps, shower valves, etc.\n\n \n Person Specification \n\n • Applicants will be subject to a Disclosure & Barring (DBS) check.\n, • Demonstrable experience in a similar role essential\n, • Suitable trade discipline qualification (minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent)\n, • Working knowledge of ACOP L8 desirable\n, • Full UK Driving License\n\n
