Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor to join their Glasgow team. \n This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio spanning commercial, residential and public sector projects, while taking ownership of both professional and project-led surveying instructions. \n The Role \n As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you'll deliver a broad range of professional building surveying services, providing expert advice to clients and managing projects from inception through to completion. \n Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in maintaining client relationships, delivering technical excellence and contributing to the continued success of the business. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Undertake building condition surveys, technical due diligence and defect investigations.\n, • Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes, lifecycle planning and asset management advice.\n, • Prepare specifications, schedules of work and technical reports.\n, • Provide building pathology and defect diagnosis services.\n, • Manage refurbishment, repair and maintenance projects from inception through to completion.\n, • Act as Contract Administrator under JCT and SBCC contracts.\n, • Prepare Schedules of Condition, Dilapidations and Reinstatement Cost Assessments.\n, • Oversee insurance reinstatement projects following insured events.\n, • Provide clients with professional building surveying advice and recommendations.\n, • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety legislation and industry best practice.\n, • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.\n, • Collaborate effectively with project managers, quantity surveyors and wider design teams.\n\n About You \n\n • MRICS qualified with a degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.\n, • Proven experience delivering a range of professional building surveying services.\n, • Strong knowledge of building construction, pathology and defect diagnosis.\n, • Experience managing PPM programmes and asset management instructions.\n, • Demonstrable project management and contract administration experience.\n, • Good understanding of JCT and/or SBCC contracts.\n, • Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and client-facing documentation.\n, • Good working knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety requirements.\n, • Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.\n, • Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining high professional standards.\n, • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.\n, • Full UK driving licence.\n\n What's on Offer? \n\n • Competitive salary and performance-related bonus.\n, • Generous holiday entitlement.\n, • Ongoing CPD, professional development and chartership support.\n, • Funded training and further education opportunities.\n, • Exposure to a varied and high-profile project portfolio.\n, • Clear opportunities for career progression within a growing consultancy.\n
