You dont need to know how to do the job before you get here, because well give you all the training you need.Step 1 is your initial military training teaching you how to be a soldier which will be basic military training if youre a Junior Soldier and adult basic training if youre a Regular Soldier. Step 2 will be 12 weeks at the Royal School of Military Engineering where youll learn military engineering skills including demolition and bridge building. Step 3 will be 24 weeks of technical training at the Royal School of Engineering learning about dry lining, painting, wall and floor tiling, planning and site safety.Youll also receive 30 days annual leave every year (plus bank holidays and extra leave after operations), free medical and dental care, cheaper living costs, and free gym and sports facilities.
