Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a Tier 1 automotive supplier with their search for a Die Maintenance Technician to join the team on a 1 year FTC. \n The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, modifying, and optimising injection moulding tooling to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and product quality. \n \n Key Duties: \n\n • Maintenance & Repairs: Perform reactive and planned maintenance on press and injection moulding tooling in a fast-paced production environment.\n, • Problem-Solving & Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose tooling failures and implement long-term corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.\n, • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet operational targets and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\n, • Welding & Fabrication: Carry out repairs involving MIG, TIG, and ARC welding as required.\n, • Workload Management: Prioritise and manage tasks efficiently, adapting to shifting production demands.\n, • Technical Leadership & Development: Share knowledge within the team, mentor apprentices, and contribute to skill development initiatives.\n, • Independent working: Operate autonomously during solo shifts, managing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and making critical decisions to maintain tooling performance without direct supervision.\n\n Key Requirements: \n\n • Proven experience in tooling maintenance, ideally within an injection moulding environment.\n, • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a focus on long-term solutions.\n, • Experience working with hot runner/manifold systems.\n, • Expertise in tool finishing and bedding.\n\n The Package: \n\n • 1 year FTC, however potential to be taken on permanent.\n, • £47,000 - £53,000 per annum including shift allowance, dependant on experience.\n, • 3 shift pattern on rotation.\n, • Company pension scheme.\n, • 25 days holiday.\n, • On site canteen.\n, • Additional.\n\n \n
