Senior People & Culture Business Partner – Operations\n Location: Cardiff/Gloucestershire - Multi-site UK role with regular travel \n Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + benefits (car allowance, bonus) \n We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join a large, complex operational business. This is a highly visible role partnering with senior leaders to shape and deliver people strategies that enhance organisational performance, strengthen capability, and foster a positive and inclusive culture. \n Working across multiple operational sites, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating business objectives into practical, people-focused solutions that support both immediate priorities and long-term growth. The Role\n As a key member of the People & Culture team, you will: Strategic Business Partnership\n\n • Partner with senior leadership teams to develop and implement strategic people plans.\n, • Provide expert guidance on workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, capability development, and reward.\n, • Use people data and insights to identify risks, opportunities, and trends.\n, • Lead and support organisational change initiatives.\n, • Coach and influence leaders to build high-performing teams.\n, • Champion an inclusive, engaged, and performance-driven culture.\n, • Align people initiatives with operational and commercial objectives.\nEmployee Experience\n\n, • Support the delivery of an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.\n, • Manage complex employee relations matters in partnership with specialist colleagues.\n, • Drive initiatives that support inclusion, wellbeing, and employee engagement.\n, • Use engagement feedback and people metrics to inform continuous improvement.\n, • Facilitate employee engagement forums and representative groups.\nTalent, Performance & Capability\n\n, • Lead talent and succession planning activities.\n, • Identify critical roles and capability requirements.\n, • Support career development and internal mobility initiatives.\n, • Partner with recruitment teams to attract and retain high-calibre talent.\n, • Drive robust performance management and talent calibration processes.\n, • Help build organisational capability through targeted development initiatives.\nAbout You\n To be successful in this role, you will bring: \n\n • Significant experience as a People/HR Business Partner working with senior leadership teams.\n, • Experience operating within a complex, multi-site, operational, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or similarly fast-paced environment.\n, • Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.\n, • Broad expertise across core HR disciplines.\n, • Proven experience leading organisational change and transformation activities.\n, • Strong employee relations and UK employment law knowledge.\n, • CIPD qualification (or equivalent professional qualification).\n, • A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.\n, • Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.\n, • Willingness to travel regularly across multiple UK locations.\nDesirable Experience\n\n, • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, engineering, or supply chain environments.\n, • Exposure to lean operations, continuous improvement, or world-class operational practices.\nPersonal Qualities\n We are looking for someone who is: \n\n • A trusted and credible partner to senior leaders.\n, • Commercially astute and business-focused.\n, • Passionate about people and organisational success.\n, • Skilled at influencing and driving change.\n, • Data-driven and comfortable using insights to inform decisions.\n, • Focused on developing talent, capability, and future leaders.\n, • Collaborative, resilient, and able to build strong relationships at all levels.\nApply\n This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful organisation where you can make a significant impact on business performance, culture, and employee experience in a strategic People & Culture leadership role. \n All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
