We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Post Office trained Banking Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while assisting clients with their banking needs. This role requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in banking transactions using the Horizon Operating System, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks efficiently. As a Banking Associate, you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
Start Date: 16th July 2026
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their banking inquiries.
- Delivering outstanding customer service.
- Handle transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, and bill payments.
- Manage clerical tasks such as filing, preparing & receiving cash collections and organising paperwork.
- Assist in resolving customer issues or directing them to the appropriate department.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the branch.
Essential Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of the Horizon Terminal Operating system and Post Office procedures
- Cash handling experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Professional , friendly and approachable manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in data entry tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive attitude towards customer service and problem-solving.
What We Offer
- £14.00 per hour
- Full-time hours (Monday to Friday, (:00am – 5:00pm)
- No weekend working
