Corporate Tax Senior / Assistant ManagerThe OpportunityA highly regarded and growing mid-sized advisory and accountancy practice is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join its expanding tax team. The client base is broad, varied, and particularly attractive for individuals who enjoy exposure to complex and interesting work across multiple industries and jurisdictions.This opportunity would suit someone looking to continue progressing within corporate tax while gaining strong exposure to both compliance and advisory assignments in a supportive but ambitious environment.The RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with senior members of the tax team and wider leadership group, supporting a combination of corporate tax compliance and advisory work across a varied client portfolio.The role offers excellent exposure to technical advisory matters while also providing significant client interaction and responsibility. There will also be the opportunity to work alongside and help support more junior members of the wider tax function, including collaboration with overseas support teams.Key Responsibilities\n\n • Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns prepared by junior team members.\n, • Managing the corporate tax compliance cycle across a varied portfolio of clients.\n, • Supporting on a broad range of corporate tax advisory projects.\n, • Providing tax technical support to clients and colleagues across the wider business.\n, • Assisting with tax planning assignments and transactional work where required.\n, • Liaising directly with clients, HMRC, and internal stakeholders.\n, • Supporting and mentoring junior staff members and reviewing work where appropriate.\n, • Assisting with the management of workflow, deadlines, and client expectations.\n, • Developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.\n, • Ensuring technical knowledge remains up to date through continued professional development.\nCandidate Profile\n\n, • CTA qualified or nearing qualification.\n, • Strong corporate tax compliance and advisory experience within practice.\n, • Ideally 4+ years’ experience working within a corporate tax team.\n, • Comfortable managing responsibilities independently while also working collaboratively within a wider team.\n, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to liaise directly with clients and senior stakeholders.\n, • Commercially minded with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.\n, • Motivated to continue developing technically and professionally.\n, • Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff would be advantageous.\nThe EnvironmentThe firm offers a highly collaborative and sociable culture with a strong emphasis on long-term development and staff wellbeing.
