Production Supervisor Element Materials Technology is a leading provider of materials testing, product qualification, consulting, and certification services for the aerospace industry. Our Element Toulouse laboratory, with approximately 90 employees, is approved by major aerospace OEMs including SAFRAN, AIRBUS, and GE. The laboratory provides a broad range of services, including mechanical testing, machining, and metallurgical analysis of metallic materials. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities Reporting to the Site Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the testing laboratory. You will be responsible for operational performance, test quality, and team leadership within a highly regulated and quality-driven environment. At the heart of laboratory operations, you will play a key role in organizing testing activities, supporting technical teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Operations Management • Plan and schedule testing activities, balancing laboratory capacity, priorities, and customer deadlines., • Adjust production schedules to accommodate operational constraints., • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Turnaround Time (TAT), quality metrics, and productivity., • Support invoicing activities and contribute to customer satisfaction. Team Leadership • Lead, coach, and supervise laboratory personnel, including scheduling, time tracking, and training., • Provide technical guidance and support to employees performing testing activities., • Conduct performance reviews, team meetings, and employee development initiatives., • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, company policies, and laboratory procedures. Technical Expertise & Customer Support • Provide technical support related to testing, analysis, and interpretation of results., • Assist with complex customer technical inquiries and project requirements., • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and accreditation requirements, including NADCAP where applicable. Continuous Improvement • Lead Lean initiatives such as 5S, QRQC, SQCDP, and other continuous improvement programs., • Identify, implement, and monitor process improvements to increase operational efficiency., • Participate in internal and external audits and support corrective action activities. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or a related discipline)., • Demonstrated experience leading teams in a manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial production environment., • Previous experience in materials testing or laboratory operations is preferred., • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and performance management systems., • Professional working proficiency in English.
