Let’s paint the future together. /p pThe Technical Service Representative acts as a technical support technician within the Technical Service team, primarily contributing from the laboratory and supporting field activities. /p pThe role focuses on assisting TBPs in delivering technical service, ensuring reliable product performance and high-quality support to customers. /p pThe position is designed as a development role, building technical, product, and application knowledge through lab work, internal training, and progressive exposure to customer visits. /p pThe jobholder contributes to problem-solving, product testing, and technical documentation, while gradually developing the competencies required to become a fully autonomous TBP. /p h3About the role /h3 pKey Accountabilities: /p ul liProvide technical support from the laboratory, including sample preparation, product testing, and data collection to support customer cases. /li liAssist in the analysis and resolution of product-related issues, contributing to lab investigations and supporting root cause analysis. /li liSupport TBPs in customer complaint handling, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate technical input. /li liParticipate in product testing, validation, and implementation activities under supervision. /li liPrepare and maintain technical reports, test results, and documentation in relevant systems. /li liSupport internal teams (Sales, Marketing, RD, QC) by providing technical data and insights. /li liMaintain technical equipment and laboratory tools in line with safety and operational standards. /li liEnsure compliance with HSE policies, site procedures, and corporate standards. /li liBuild foundational knowledge of products, applications, and customer processes. /li /ul pSpecific Tasks: /p ul liConduct laboratory testing (application tests, product comparisons, troubleshooting analyses). /li liPrepare samples, panels, and test reports to support customer and internal projects. /li liAssist in product qualification and trial preparation. /li liSupport technical documentation and CRM updates (cases, reports, test results). /li liAccompany senior TBPs on customer visits to observe and progressively contribute. /li liProvide on-site support under supervision, assisting in product trials, audits, or troubleshooting. /li liHelp prepare training materials, demos, and presentations. /li liSupport technical audits and data collection at customer sites when required. /li /ul h3About You /h3 ul li0–3 years’ experience in paints coatings or similar technical/laboratory environment. /li liTechnical background: Vocational training, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. /li liBasic understanding of laboratory techniques and testing methods. /li liStrong learning mindset and willingness to develop towards a customer-facing technical role. /li liGood analytical and problem-solving skills, with structured approach to technical issues. /li liTeam-oriented with good communication skills. /li liFluent in English and Spanish. /li liAvailable to travel (mainly Africa and Spain). /li /ul h3What we offer /h3 ul liJoin a growing multinational company. /li liProfessional and personal development in a dynamic environment. /li liHybrid teleworking modality. /li liFlexible remuneration. /li liAccess to training platform. /li liFree parking. /li liCompany car available for this position. /li /ul pAt AkzoNobel we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best self.
